The Top Sportsman Firebird will initially be powered by this New Century Performance built Sonny’s headed 632.

The engine is based on a New Century 10.4” deck, half water, aluminum main cap block. We selected a Callies 4.750” stroke Magnum and run Callico coated bearings. GRP 5300 series aluminum rods connect to a set of gas ported Arias pistons. The short block is topped with CNC ported Sonny’s 14.5 degree heads flowing through a CFE fabricated intake manifold. A pair of Pro-Systems Nitrous Series carbs perform the air and fuel metering. An single stage NOS Pro-Fogger system will perform the “power adder” duties.


Gary Elliott’s - New Century Performance Top Sportsman Firebird



		New Century Performance partner Gary Elliott will be running this ‘96 Firebird Top Sportsman entry at selected events throughout the 2006 season. It will be used as a test bed for New Century Performance products and services.
